Remembrance Day is a solemn occasion in which we focus our attention on the sacrifices made by our soldiers in the past and present. In our class we talked about the Poppy and how it is a symbol to help us acknowledge and remember our soldiers and the freedoms they have helped us gain. As part of our remembrance, we decorated poppies and posted the art work on a bulletin board with the poem “In Flanders Fields”. We talked about how privileged we are to live in a society such as we do in Canada!
