Yoga is an ancient form of exercise and meditation that involves slow movements and deep breathing. The children thoroughly enjoy practicing this art which aids them in relaxation and balance. It helps the children become aware of their body and their body control. It also helps in the development of self-discipline.  

We participate in a yoga class weekly with Cheeba. We form groups of eight and take turns doing yoga in a half hour rotation schedule. 

We also have a yoga mat and picture cards with yoga positions in the classroom. The children work independently with the mat and cards as they desire.
