Working with Bells

The bells are an exciting part of our Casa classroom. There are two sets of bells: the control bells, which have white bases and display the names of the notes; and the working bells, which have plain bases and no distinctive markings or shapes. In some of the many activities that can be done, the control bells can be used to play a game that requires training of the ear. The working bells can be scrambled to challenge the child to find and place the bells in the scale order from “do” to “do”. Children enjoy learning to play songs such as “Good Morning” or “Days of the Week”. There are endless possibilities for creative uses of the bells.
