March is Epilepsy Awareness Month. March 26th is Purple Day. This day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy. On Purple Day, people worldwide are invited to wear purple and host events in support of epilepsy awareness. Our Under 3 community will celebrate this day by participating in a bunny hop. Our children will wear bunny ears and hop 100 times. This number represents the statistic that 1 out of every 100 people lives with epilepsy. Our children are also painting t-shirts to wear. In our Under 3 classroom, we will incorporate purple playdough, purple paint, purple sand, etc.
