French Class Video!

file

Our children attend French class once a week. For 30 minutes, small groups of children participate in our French curriculum.

Children are exposed to a variety of topics and curriculum themes- some of which include les parties du corps, emotions et sentiments, les couleures, les animaux de la foret, de la jungle… and many more. The children engage in learning short songs, playing bingo and other interactive fun ways of learning.

Currently, we are exploring the book: “Harry Learns French” by Sue Finnie & Daniele Bourdais. The children are learning some key phrases, as well as, identifying foods, items found in the home, and so much more, as the character Harry visits France and explores a farm, the town and the airport.

During the week, the teachers incorporate French in the classroom. We count in French, greet with Bon Jour, name objects in our environment, and extend the week’s lesson throughout the day. Check out our video below!
