Our children learn the French language in the Casa program during a weekly 30 minute class. The small group lessons allow for individual attention and oral interactions. The primary focus is on oral language lessons that are presented naturally and imaginatively with English usage. We reinforce Montessori principles with vocabulary by introducing concrete items such as stories, rhymes, games, songs, and other physical and visual aids. These are important to reinforce learning. Correct pronunciation is instilled which allows the children to become accustomed to the vocabulary and culture of Canada’s official second language.
