Taking care of the environment is an important element of the Under 2 curriculum. One way in which the children can do this is by caring for the various plants in their classroom. The child in the photo is exemplifying great care for her classroom environment and the natural elements within it through watering the plant. The child is also helping the teachers maintain the classroom plants while learning about life and the essential needs of a plant such as water and sunlight.
