Volcano Science Experiment

Children watching a volcano science experiment

In our circle, we spent a few days reading and learning about volcanoes – how they’re formed, why they erupt and how the eruption can affect people and animals. We created our own volcano using sand, a volcano mold, citric acid, and baking soda. The children enjoyed watching what happened when the citric acid was combined with the baking soda, mimicking a little eruption.
