The weekly Yoga class with Cheeba is an opportunity for the children to learn and practice meditation, relaxation, balance, breathing, body strengthening and self-control. Children engage with the teacher, learning a variety of Yoga poses and taking time to practice quietness and stillness. Yoga assists in the development of self-discipline and self-awareness. Yoga is also extended into the classroom. A child may use a Yoga mat when desired to practise what they’ve learned in Yoga class.
