Practicing Yoga

Child practicing the Cobra yoga pose The weekly Yoga class with Cheeba is an opportunity for the children to learn and practice meditation, relaxation, balance, breathing, body strengthening and self-control. Children engage with the teacher, learning a variety of Yoga poses and taking time to practice quietness and stillness. Yoga assists in the development of self-discipline and self-awareness. Yoga is also extended into the classroom. A child may use a Yoga mat when desired to practise what they’ve learned in Yoga class.
