Melanie gives us fun ideas to re-create sensory activities during your Staycation. All you need is a bin, some household materials, and away you go!
You can put some of the following items into a large container or small containers and observe your children explore:
*Ice cubes with spoons, smaller cups or measuring cups
*Oatmeal or cornmeal to which you can add animals or any objects you have around the house
*Boil pasta such as spaghetti (can add food colouring to the water when boiling to add interest); make sure the pasta is totally dry before they start to play with it
*Water and soap, and add cloths or brushes they can use to wash their dolls, toys, or dishes
Have fun!
