Our classroom fish tank has become an area for learning and excitement. By observing the fish, the teachers and children have the opportunity to engage in some discussion about the fish such as the the parts its body. For example, the teacher asks the child to find the fish and point to its eyes, gills, and tail. The children are often seen at the tank with curious and intrigued faces, mimicking the fish’s movements by walking along the tank and making “fish faces”.
