In the Casa classroom, we have a variety of number puzzles and number related activities. This particular number puzzle is a beautiful set of smooth wooden pieces that are divided into sections based on the number depicted on the square piece of wood.
The concept may sound simplistic, and can definitely be easy with the first couple of numbers, but as the numbers increase, the level of difficulty substantially increases. This is an activity that challenges the mathematical mind, not only through number recognition and counting, but also through shape, construction, and spatial awareness.
