Plus-Plus blocks offer a new play challenge for the children with endless possibilities from colour recognition, pattern recognition, counting and sorting, to creating a two-dimensional structure. The children, through their exploration, will shift and rotate the blocks. This encourages the development of the child’s in-hand manipulation skills between the fingers and thumb.
At first, the child may drop the block. But through repetition and practice, the child will build strength and coordination to fit the blocks together. They may also start assessing “problems” and experimenting with solutions as they engage their cognitive problem-solving skills leading to more concentration.
