The North Casa children conducted a science experiment called Walking Water. With a few simple items, we learned how water can be transferred through absorbent materials. The children filled two glasses with water and food colouring. Next, they dipped one side of a paper towel into the colourful water and folded the rest of the paper towel over into an empty glass between the other 2 glasses. As the day progressed, the children observed how the middle glass filled up with water that was transferred by the paper towel. As an added element, the red water from the first glass and the blue water from the third glass combined in the middle to make purple water. It was such a sight to see!
