At Downtown Montessori, every Thursday we have the pleasure of taking a music class with Adriana. In this music class, we have the opportunity to explore different musical sounds with various instruments such as shakers, maracas, guiro, banjo, and many more. Music and the Montessori method share a deep connection, as both focus on holistic development and self-expression. In Montessori education, music plays a vital role in nurturing a child’s cognitive, emotional, and social growth. Incorporating music in a Montessori curriculum enriches the learning experience by engaging children’s senses, fostering creativity, enhancing motor development and coordination, and supporting their overall development in alignment with Montessori principles of child-centered education.
