In learning to sign, the children are able to learn another form of communication used around the world. In the photographs, the children are demonstrating the signs for various objects and actions such as flower, cookie, and light. On each card, there is a picture of the object on one side and the signing of the word on the other. The children are able to practice verbalizing and signing the word with this activity. Sign Language practice helps promote self-expression, movement and hand-eye coordination.
