During the month of September, the children at Downtown Montessori Infinity Place participated in an Indigenous inspired drumming circle. Michael Anderson of Monkey Business Creative Services led this special circle. He taught the children words and songs in different Indigenous languages. He also gave the children the opportunity to actively participate in playing the gathering drum. We are grateful to have had Michael join us and teach this drumming circle as we try to explore different ways to include indigenous pedagogy into our daily curriculum.
