Collaging is an independent and creative activity in the classroom. The children participate in this self-creative process by creating their own artwork. In doing so, they are fulfilling the need for decision making as well as further developing a sense of order through a sequence of steps. They are also engaged in sensorial exploration through the use of a variety of textures. They choose a piece of paper and different materials to create their very own masterpiece. In the process, they are learning practical life skills such as gluing and the washing of utensils upon completion of the activity.
