Michelle enjoys making Paella for lunch with her family. Here’s how they make this family tradition:
Ingredients
1 pack of chicken breasts ( You can replace this with mussels, clams, shrimp or whatever you prefer )
1 large ripe tomato
3 cloves of garlic
1 onion
2 packs of Sazon Goya ( seasoning – potentially MSG )
2 cups of Arborio rice
1 box of chicken broth (potentially MSG)
2 tablespoons of oil
Directions:
1. Chop tomato, garlic, onion and chicken into cubes
2. Boil the chicken broth and add the seasoning.
3. While you’re waiting for the broth to boil, add tomato in a pan or wok if you have one and sauté it with oil until it’s soft. Then add the onion and garlic. Once the onion is cooked, move to the side and add the chicken.
When the chicken is almost cooked, mix it together with the other ingredients.
4. When the broth boils, add the rice into the chicken mixture.
5. Pour the broth into the pan and mix it with everything. Once it boils, lower down to medium heat. Then wait until the liquid is absorbed.
6. Rotate the pan around from time to time so each side gets heat. Don’t stir, just keep rotating.
7. When you see that all the liquid is gone, turn off the heat and cover with a paper towel.
8. Remove the paper towel after several minutes, then serve.
That’s it! Enjoy!
