South Casa explored the wonderful world of chemistry this month. All of the experiments created cool reactions by combining certain ingredients. We first discovered what colour results when we mix red cabbage powder with citric acid powder. Secondly, we saw what colour results when a pH indicator mixes with an alkaline (or base). Thirdly, we created a big, bubbling, purple coloured reaction when we mixed acids and bases. Finally, we created and revealed a secret message when we mixed acids and bases.
