In the Under 3 community, we have been exploring mixing primary colours to create secondary colours in a variety of ways.
We used spray bottles filled with coloured water outside in the snow on the playground.
The children enjoyed manipulating shaving cream and food colouring in large bags.
We also did a science experiment wherein we added red, yellow and blue food colouring to water in containers.
We placed paper towel from one container to the next and watched as it was absorbed. When the colours overlapped, a new colour was created!
