The process of planting, caring for, and growing their very own seeds is a great way to encourage children’s love of nature. The children placed their bean seed in a paper towel into a clear cup.
Each day they watered it. They watched as their seed began to germinate. First, the seed sprouted roots and then a stem with leaves.
The children then transplanted their seeds into soil.
The children also planted grass seeds and watched as their Grass Heads grew. They had fun as they gave their Grass Head a “haircut”. The children were excited to see how big their plants grew!
