Bill 168: Workplace Violence and Harassment

Bill 168 is an amendment to the Occupational Health and Safety Act with respect to violence and harassment in the workplace. Bill 168 came into effect on June 15, 2010 and provides protection for both employees and employers in regard to workplace violence and harassment.

Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) includes workplace violence, harassment, and sexual harassment as hazards to workers’ (staff/providers, students, and volunteers) health and safety.

We will not under any circumstances tolerate workplace violence or harassment to or by any of the people for whom Downtown Montessori/Daycare Connection (DTMS/DCC) is responsible.
