The children participated in a car wash during water play in the playground. They enjoyed filling their buckets with water from the sprinkler and making soap suds with the soapy water and a sponge. Then they used their fine motor skills to hold and squeeze the sponge to clean different parts of the fire truck. The children also used their gross motor skills while they were bending, crouching, walking, and moving their arms back and forth while cleaning. What a great water play activity to do on a warm summer day!
